Introduction

Contrary to popular belief, pet sitting is not for the feint hearted. I cannot however, imagine doing anything else and today I left the office to walk Dan, a little cutie (that is Dan on the left), whom we have been walking for the past four years. Kate (his owner), has become a close friend, and I thought it time I caught up on old pals (forgive the pun).
Dan was delighted to see me, and after much tail wagging, we ventured out under a cloudy sky. Now Dan really does not enjoy rain of any kind and when the skies opened, he bolted for the nearest tree. His tail swished gleefully having avoided the downpour, and no amount of persuasion on my part would make him move. I rather think he is a secret wooz dog!
After five minutes I noticed a large four by four heading in our direction. Before I could say wire haired Jack Russell (and maybe a bit of something else), we were absolutely drenched. Dan looked scathingly, barked several times, and scurried off in the direction of home.
We arrived to find Kate unloading shopping bags from the boot of her car. "The towels hanging over the radiator", she laughed. I am sure that I heard a little dog muttering to myself, how this dog walking malarkey wasn't all it was cracked up to be! You can visit our website http://www.ninasnanniesforpets.co.uk
